I loved that I was able to use my PINK BY Design Sibling Love stamp set. I heart heart that stamp set!

I’m back on the CHALLEGE saddle! HEHE.. Due to my back injury I was not creating as much because sitting was hurting too much! Now I am feeling so much better! I’m still just a bit sore but totally better!

WHile I was on youtube, as always, I was seeing Gina’s youtube (SCRAPINNOLOGY). She is soo funny, I adore her! Love love her laugh! OK, well back to topic… I saw her video of her earlier month’s challenge and I was like, “GREAT! the perfect challenge to get me back started to making cards!” I had been on her site when it first started on the NING site but then IDK hadn’t been checking it as often as I should have! SO my goal is to do all her challenge,, unless it’s a MINI album! hahaha

Bows and buttons! Well, this card took forever to make. I was planning to do a thank you card for someone and I was nervous. Why? well this person is a very talented card maker, her stuff is amazing! Isn’t this too CUTE?? Just like the saying! Of course I used K. Andrew Design new FALL-O-WEEN stamp set for this treat box! I am entering this box to her Simply SUNDAY CHALLENGE and also to Crafty Sprouts treat box challenge! I may do another treat box and use a crafty sprout stamp set as soon as it gets to me! I used Mini Monsters to make the spider, K&Co. Halloween stack and SU designer label punch. TOO CUTE!!

Scrappy Mom Challenge!

I think this may be my 1st Scrappy Mom’s challenge? Hmmmm or maybe not, my 2nd? Anyway, the challenge is a color challenge, TEAL and BROWN! Wow, so love those colors together!!

For this challenge I use SU soft suede for the base of the card. Teal cardstock I had laying around & for the patterned paper I used a mat pad by “me & my big idea” called Copper Willow I got on clearance for 1.97 at Joann’s a long time ago. The scallop oval I cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge! SOO love that cartridge. For the sentiment, I used Scrappy Mom’s Charmed Life stamp set! I also got my very 1st SIMPLY BETTY STAMP!! WOO HOO I SO LOVE THIS GIRL! She so reminds me of my niece! Cuteness!!

Rambling & a Challenge!

I know its been forever! Goodness. I guess you can say life has gotten in the way and a broken A/C unit! So I have been without central air for about a good 8 days and being in central Texas this ain’t good! Thank goodness its not in the 100’s and its been kinda cool mid 90’s. Inside the house temperature reads 87°F. Thankfully my mom still had a window unit in her back sunroom that she doesn’t use and that is in our master bedroom.

I had attempted to scrap but I started to sweat and I just gave up. Who wants to sweat and scrap? I know I don’t. So finally on day 8 I was fed up! I got some new scrappy goodies I wanted to use and decided to move some of my stuff to my bedroom temporarily.

This is my Happiness!

A little corner nook I took over. YES! Ok so when I finally organized my stuff I was like, “WHAT DO I DO NOW?” lol

So of course what better way to get me out of my scrappy rut is to go to ANNABELLES BLOG and see what challenge they have going on! She never fails me!

So Annabelle's challenge is to SAY IT IN … YELLOW, LIME & CHOCOLATE! Lovely colors! I had just received my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and I had to use it! I rarely do shaped cards, I think this will be my 3rd? Anyway LOVE that cartridge!! I love that card feature!

So here is my card!

I used SU soft suede for the base of the card, Kaisercraft “lush collection” as my pattern paper, and some yellowish bazzill cardstock. The wreath & banner I stamped with CTMH “Remarkable Wreath” stamp set! I must say, I LOVE IT! WOWO amazing stamp set! LOVE LOVE. You build your own wreath! Its great! To top off the LIME in the challenge I used a ribbon to make a bow to top off my wreath! I love it! If I say so myself!!

Crafty Sprouts New Stamp release & challenge!

Ok.. so Ms. Erika aka Crafty Sprouts had released her 2nd New Stamp set. It is amazing! Check this out. Erika is also my neighbor, ok so not next door neighbor put she lives like less than a mile from me.

This is strange we both got selected to Kristal’s design team a few months back and that’s how I found out she was a neighbor! I was like oh cool she lives in San Antonio too but then I was like WOWO she lives like really close! LOL So I should be stalking her mail box and see if I can intercept some of her stamps when the mail man passes. Anyway just wanted to let yall know it’s a SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL!

So Ms. Erika has a sketch challenge to go along with her New stamp release and I decided to join in on the fun.

Her stamps are awesome and I so need to get my hands on them reason why I am planning on intercepting a box! Gotta know when the next shipment comes in! Just love her barcode stamp on each set!!

Annabelle’s Birthday Challenge #3

Phew! I hope I make it in TIME to do this last challenge for Annabelle Stamp Birthday Challenge!!!

The challenge is use 2 “B” on our card this can be 2 buttons, brads..etc.. 2 is for the 2 years and B is for Birthday!I used two buttons and two bows. The flower has two buttons layered one on top of another to give it some dimension.

Here is my card!

Recipe: I stamped and embossed different type of flowers onto white card stock using white embossing powder. Then I distressed two types of TIM Holtz distressing Inks (tea dye & wild honey) I added roses from recollections, white Annebelle Stamps pearls, lace, boarder strip from sassafrass lass, Stamped the sentiment using K Andrew Stamps 2 different stamps sets (Birthday from Coffee & Tea for you & me; Happy from Fall O-ween).

Recipe: I used 1 new stamp set I just received from Kristal called WINGED THINGS and used the sentiment “Let Your Wings take Flight” . I used 2 die cuts/punch (butterfly from Once Upon a Princess Cart, Label is a SU decorative Label punch). 3 blings are Annabelle Pearls!

Howdy Folks!! I am so honored to be part of Jessica’s aka KinderStampO guest designers! WoW! How awesome is that!

I am sure throughout the blog hop you have seen all the wonderful folks share with you the MOTTO by which Jessica from KinderStampO goes by “ Live. craft. Inspire”

The idea is to share a little bit about ourselves listed under the word live, a little bit about ourcrafty style under the word Craft and a little bit about how we get inspiration and how they hope to inspire under the word inspire.

So here goes my interpretation of the motto: LIVE. CRAFT. INSPIRE.

LIVE: I am an elementary special education teacher and work with Special needs kids. I am so loving it! I never thought I was going to have so much fun doing this! I heart it the most! When I’m not teaching, I’m a girlfriend to a middle school special education teacher, stepmom to his 17 y/o daughter and a softball stepmom! hehe I love my family! Then when all is said and done.. I’m a SCRAPPER and CARDMAKER.

CRAFT: My crafty style is what ever comes to mind! I really do not have a plan on how I am going to create something. I’m a fly by the seat of your pants kinda girl. I get the picture I want to scrap. Find papers to match it and there ya have it! Now for card making I love doing challenges! I love following sketches which now I’m figuring I need to do that for my layouts. I need all the help I can get. Keep in mind I make lots of mistakes but hey you can always “scrap” it and start over!

INSPIRE: I get all my inspiration from my fellow crafter online! I love YOUTUBE! Darn that YOUTUBE making me spend so much! I get so much inspiration from those wonderful crafters on youtube! I hope I can inspire others to love this hobby. I like to youtube my process of cardmaking and layouts (which I haven’t in a while, with school starting up again). I never edit out my mistakes because I want people to see hey no one is perfect! SO I hope that will inspire other to create without fear!

I look forward to all of y’all seeing my creations! Little nervous but hey its only paper! LOL

Finally!!

Oh gosh! I finally made it to my craft area and created something. While doing this card.. I messed up a lot! Goodness so I did my best to try to fix it and it. Not my best work but its been a few weeks. So please don’t be to harsh on me.

I created this card for two challenges. Annabelle Bling Sketch challenge #41 and for Sweet Stamps Challenge 29 - White on White. This is my first time doing a challenge for Sweet Stamps which I found while I was blog hopping.

This mess up? Ok.. I white embossed the dry embossed insert but then I wanted to make it pop since it blended too much. So I decided to ink the edges in a light gray ink. Which looked good but then I wanted the base dry emboss to have a bit of glitz so I started to versa mark w/ the dazzling versa mark but then the gray ink bled into the white so in order to cover it up I had to emboss it with white embossing powder. But then I was like UGH! So I decided to use white liquid pearl to edge everything. UGH I didn’t have a steady hand! Well I tried my best after a good month of not crafting.

Kathy? Good grief.. its been forever since I posted! I’ve lost my mojo! Been feeling so blah! Work started back up for us Teachers on Thursday. So been working getting my room organized.. Ok, let me rephrase that.. I helped take out stuff from our boxes. (Yeah we were temporarily housed at a different campus until our school was being remodeled..year 4 its finally done! lol but then they decided to move my department (Life Skills-Special Needs class) to a whole new school) So we packed up our classroom (over 60 boxes). So Thursday my assistant, KELLI!! OMGOSH she is my right hand!! I LOVE HER! SHE IS THE BOMB! I always make her happy! Don’t want her to leave me! LOL

Ok so where was i? ok Thursday we both unpacked our boxes. Then Friday was a Teacher camps development day, so the teacher were doing workshops and Kelli stayed behind and organized and decorated our room! YES!! Finally a room that looks like a classroom unlike our DUNGEON we had last school year (seriously the building we were in was like the 1st Elementary school for the district.. very old!) We are so ready for the new school year! So more workshops and meetings this week. BLEH!

Ok, so what I really wanted to just show you my card I created like 2 weekends ago that I forgot to blog about, but then I got sidetracked. ( I do that a lot!) So here is my card, of course using K. Andrews Art Stamps, Positive Thoughts.

awww i'm soo sad, but the time has come to say farewell to my position on the Getting Cricky Design team! It has been an awesome 3 months! wowo it went by soo fast. I was gonna stay on but I just wanted to give some of the applicants a chance to be on Kristal's Design team. Kristal is the best. She has amazed me with her giving and loving nature. I wanna grow up to be just like Kristal!

I so loved working with all my fellow design team members! It was a blast to get to know each and every one of you all. No worries, I will still be creating stuff using Kristals stampsbecause well they are just awesome and versatile. And will be entering the SIMPLY SUNDAY Challenges!! I am so looking forward to be getting her August release stamp sets!! Can't wait!! they are to DIE FOR!!

Its Almost the end of SUMMER!

So we decided to go on a DAYCATION. Yeah the weekend before we start work again. Yes, we teachers go in 2 weeks earlier than the kiddos. I’m so looking forward to going back to work with a new principal and new school, but then I’m like where did the summer go?

I decided to create some Summer cards to get me in the mood! Although, we ended up not going to the coast, I still ended up making some beachy cards. I used Splashtastic Summer Art Stamps by K. Andrew Designs. I’m so Loving using the DCWV Sea Glass Chipboard pieces.

The middle card is your standard A2 card, the Buckets of Fun is a 3x3 and the SHELL-O is a 4x4.

This is my favorite of these summer cards! In person it just shimmers! Those chipboard pieces has glitter on them.. love the shine!!

Positive Thoughts..

So I was in a crafting mood! Its about time!! I created two cards using the Positive Thoughts Art Stamps by K. Andrew Designs.

For this card, I used the “Being a person of Value..” sentiment. I went beyond my normal card making to add lots of flowers and PRIMA LACE! yes.. Prima Lace! The Dragon fly is a chipboard piece from DCWV Sea Glass collection. I’m loving this box of chipboard, which I received from my Secret Santa this past Christmas. Love it!

Day 3 Preview: K. Andrew Art Stamps..

Ok Ladies… Ya know it’s so difficult to make those cards for someone that is going through a difficult time, due to a loss in the family, divorce..etc.. etc. Well, Kristal had designed a stamp set that will be great for these types of situations.

They died in their early 20’s but if only they had the drug cocktails they have now. Back in the 80’s they didn’t have the support or the research to help them. Simply Sunday Challenge: Think Positive!

Hola Hola! Its another Simply Sunday Challenge! This week over at Getting Cricky the challenge is to create a project with the Think Positive theme. You can interpret that any way you like!
And of course the stamp set that would be great is Kristal’s Positive Thoughts Art Stamp set! The sentiment I used was the Forgiveness one.
Ahh to forgive.. gosh it takes a very big heart to forgive someone that has done you wrong. I know one person that I have Forgiven for all that he has done. I forgave but I still won’t forget. Gosh I’m crying.. the weird thing is that while I’m typing this post the song from the Dixie Chicks that is playing is “Not ready to make nice” in which she talks about forgiveness. Gosh.. once I forgave him.. wow my life just opened up! I’m so happy now. Yes, I miss him. I miss the fact that he is not part of my family. Like the lyrics say..” they say time will heal everything but I’m still waiting!” Yup I’m still waiting. Yup My daddy! I love him so.. I forgive you Dad and Love you so much! Loved the Good Times we had… and those not soo good days well its just made us stronger. He instilled in us the value of an education and he always made sure we had everything we needed. We never went hungry and we also had clothes on our backs.
SO y’all are probably wondering how does this translate into think positive?? Well, If I hadn’t forgiven him, I still will living with a heavy heart and hate. I would always be thinking of all the bad times we had. I refuse to live like that. I would rather live my life loving the good times we had with him! He’s still around and I know He had so much hate in his heart. I know its not his fault. The war messed him up. We loved him with all our heart but It just wasn’t enough. But we still loved him with all his faults. So that is positive! The freedom and the love in my life is all positive!   Ok.. enough crying!!!    On to my CARD!!!

It’s a simple card. I used basic gray chipboard pieces and some statin ribbon. The background paper is from Making Memory. These are my fave colors!! Oranges, browns and greens!! Love it!!

Shaker Card using FOOD FOR THOUGHT Stamp set by K. Andrew Designs!

Yes my fellow Scrappers and Card Makers, I finally made a Shaker card! I tried last night, in which I spend over an hour with two types of cards and couldn’t do it! I gave up. So this evening I tried my hand at it again. This time I used a Cricut cartridge. Ok yesterday I was trying to do one with using only stamps but nope. I needed a Cricut cut!

I of course used K. Andrew Art Stamp! I used “FOOD FOR THOUGHT” for this card, you will be be like what!! Yes I did! On this ROBOT card!? What!!! YUP! Food for Thought can not only be used for food related cards, etc. but it can be used for other cards! I love that K. Andrew stamps are so versatile!

I couldn’t find beads small enough to put in the center of his body so I put Glitter. only thing is that it is sticking to the transparency. I really need to find some beads. I am submitting this card into Erika’s Shaker Card Challenge over at her blog, CRAFTY SPROUTS.

As I mentioned in my HIJACK POST #2.. Kristal has been a inspiration both spiritual and artistically and I just wanted to make her something that will show her how much I was inspired by her and how much she means to me and to all of us.

Ok.. now on to my project…. I was procrastinating as usual.. thinking what can I make that Kristal would love. So here I was Friday night about 9 pm thinking.. thinking.. I had another project in mind but then turned out I didn’t have the material I thought I had. So then I thought of this frame!

Hey Hey howdy yall! This is Kathy..aka Scrapping Felkatz Hijacking Kristal's blog for today! As my term is coming to an end I just wanted to say PICK ME AGAIN!! LOL only kidding (but I’m really not) hahaha. Seriously, I have enjoyed being on this Design Team.

This is the 1st design team I have ever been on and I am wondering is it like this in all the Design Teams out there? I have never felt more close to a bunch of ladies in my life! I didn’t even feel close to ladies while working in an office years ago! These ladies have been awesome to work with. WHY DO YOU SAY? Well because of One Lady: Ms. Kristal!

Kristal has been awesome to work with. Kristal has this energy and warmth that made me come back to her blog day after day. When I first found her blog, I read her post and started to cry. I was wondering… “How did she know I was going through that?” I am sure you know that feeling. Isn’t it strange? Kristal just has that gift from GOD that allows her to let her words touch you. It touches your heart and soul! I am so blessed that I found her and her blog. I was even more blessed that she picked me to be on her Design Team! Its been an awesome 3 months.. I can’t believe it went by so fast!

For day I am going to show off her SPLASHTASTIC Summer Stamp set! Its soo cute! I love all the phrases. Here is my card for today:

For this card, I use my TIM HOLTZ Distressing inks. I am on a inky distressing frenzy. I do not know, but I am loving creating my own scenes… thanks to VICKY from Lily Pad Cards.. I just love seeing her videos for inspiration.

The distressing inks I used for the waves are Faded Jeans and Broken China. I used strips of paper placed on the white card stock and inked and inked then used those pieces of paper to glue back as part of the waves. Then I stickled the edges of all the waves to give it some added wow! For the sun I used mustard seed and tea dye. The whale is a Sassafras felty. The birds are from a tim holtz stamps that for the life of me I can’t remember and I’m too lazy to get up and look for it! LOL sorry.

Yes, its Sunday again! Love Sunday’s! This week we are featuring FOOD FOR THOUGHT stamp set by K. Andrew Designs. I just love this stamp set. Its too cute! I love using “From My Kitchen”, “Freshly Picked” cricut cartridges to go with this stamp set!

For this SS challenged I created a project. I have this plastic Rubbermaid bread box that keeps getting moved all over the kitchen. Its just your typical clear bread box. So I decided to decorate it using “From my Kitchen” Cricut cartridge. So loved how it turned out! I always get compliments when people come over because now I display it on my kitchen counter so everyone can see!! Too cute! Please join us in our SS CHALLENGE at Getting Cricky.

I have a special card I would like to show you. Well, Friday my family came over for our monthly Family Game night. We played Loteria (Mexican Bingo). Well towards the end my 9 year old niece decided she didn’t’ want to play. Then a while later I noticed she was sitting at my scrapping cabinet. This month's hop is in support our fallen HEROES. We will each be featuring special "Thank You" cards to be delivered during the “Run for the Fallen" in Maine”. “Run for the Fallen Maine” is an organization dedicated to keeping alive the memory of our military heroes that gave their lives to protect our freedom since September 11, 2001.

On Sunday August 21, 2011 the 4th run to honor our heroes will be held. This is a 65 kilometer event with each kilometer being dedicated to the memory of one of our heroes that lived in Maine, had family from Maine or had some ties to our home State.

One of our Design Team Sisters, Rebecca of The Crafting Misfit, will be hand-delivering these cards during this very special event. I am featuring the “Freedom Isn't Free" Stamp Art Set for tonight's hop. $1 from the sale of each “Freedom Isn't Free" stamp set is donated to Intrepid Fallen Heroes-- a non-profit organization that provides rehabilitative services to US military members who are severely disfigured from combat.

My 1st card is “Home of the Free”: I stamped a white cardstock with a star and embossed the background with clear embossing powder then using my distressing tool and used Red Barn door distress ink and inked the whole card. I used the Stand & Salute banner and star to place the sentiment in it. Embellished with white SU twine and red & white button and stickled the star.

My 2nd card I wanted to use my IAN soldier Greeting Farm Stamp & Copics! I still need to learn more about how to color with copics. I’m new to it so please be kind! I used some Making Memory camo 6x6 cardstock I had in my stash and some Kraft cardstock and distressed it with walnut ink, tea dye, peeled paint and brushed corduroy. I stamped the dog tag and “Missing my Soldier” on shimmer gray cardstock with versa mark and embossed with black ZING embossing powder. For the chain I used pewter Liquid Pearls. I’m ify about the card.. but its growing on me.

Splashtastic Summer Art Stamps by K. Andrew

So, today I used K. Andrew Splashtastic Summer Art Stamps. Its around 11pm and finally getting my craft on!

We have been dying to go fishing but money has been tight we are saving it for Maison’s Softball College Show Case tournaments..so I decided to just make a card to show how much I miss going fishing!

I used a fish and seahorse stamp from Recollections (Michael's brand). While I was coloring in the fish and seahorse, I wanted to do an octopus. So I asked, how does an octopus swim? Maison, says like this : She is flapping her arms up and down and moving! OMGOSH I laughed so hard it was too funny! I guess you had to be there! hahahah

The background paper is from Cosmo Cricket, “Salt Air” and I used crystal effects to fill in the air bubbles and used Diamond Stickles to outline the waves and fill in the fins of the Fish and Seahorse.

Hey Howdy!

A Layout, 2 cards & Youtube Video using K. Andrew Art Stamps.

So I finally did a layout! Its been forever! I think the last layout I did was a layout I did for my submission to be on Kristals Design Team! wowo 3 months ago? Yikes! Doing this layout was a pain! LOL I couldn’t figure out what papers to use.

I used some photos from Fernando’s Birthday and I put them all in a collage. I had seen Nicole McCormick from Start to Finish on TWOPEA’s in a bucket youtube videos do her picture like this and of course I had to try it! Yikes its soo hard to do a layout like this! She is such a pro!

I do not know but I looks very busy! I used K.Andrew Art Stamp set : Positive thoughts for part of my journaling.

This is so Fernando! He would rather lose the right way then win the wrong way! There’s a lot of coaches out there that teach their players to be sore losers! its crazy!

Food For Thought Art Stamps by K. Andrew Design

I oh so love this stamp set! Didn’t I just say that with the other set? Well, I love them all! This set is the cutest!! It will go with all your cricut carts. Love it!!

So on to my two new cards I created with this stamp set! Ok, I just have to say that I love them! They are the cutest ever! All cards are made with Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety 6x6 paper pad! This paper pad goes awesome with Food for Thought.

The cherry pie cut is a cut from “FROM MY Kitchen” I had to cut the pie layer twice once in kraft cardstock and silver and cut them apart. I wanted to have the pie pan silver like an actual pie pan. Then I cut the edge of the pie crust with scallop scissors to get that edge! The ribbon is from the Unity Stamp set “Garden Variety” made for the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety paper pad! Isn’t it the cutest! It was EASY AS PIE making this card!! Loved it!

AHHHH Cute if I must say so myself! LOL The pea is from “JUST MY CARD” cricut cartridge. The labels on which the sentiment and the peas are on are from Spellbinders Peony shape labels. The faces are from Peachy Keen Everyday Character stamps. CUTE CUTE!

Well, my crabby card has a story behind it! I have been feeling very depressed this past week. Everyone is doing their own thing and I’m staying behind at home! Ugh.. They say go do something! I’m like what!? IDK! I don’t have friends to do stuff with. My 2 besties live in other states! Hmmm My friends that live here don’t scrap and they have their own things. I’m not a very social person. For a minute there I was thinking I had agoraphobia! I fear social setting at times.. hate having to talk to people and thinking hmm what do I say? will I be all duh! LOL I’ve been like this since little..

Well back to my card.. so I woke up Saturday morning and decided to make this card!! VERY TRUE. I gotta stop being so crabby! LOL

I used create a critter for the crab and sand castle. The face is from Everyday Characters faces from Peachy Keen. Thing is the eyes were originally too close like a normal person face.. So what I did I inked the face..took off the other eye and mouth, stamped then did the same for the other eye…making sure I put proper spacing between eyes. then inked the mouth and nose. I think it turned out cute!! Also, my 1st time doodling and using those dots with white gel pen! Also, for the cloud background, I embossed a white cardstock with powder blue mixed with white embossing powder to give it a cloudy blue color to it. Ya can’t really see it in the photo but it looks cool! hope you like sorry for the long explanation!

Ok now this set is awesome!! Hmm?? haven’t I said that with all of them?? well they are all awesome! This set will go with a lot of carts and greeting farm stamps!

So for this card I had this Greeting Farm stamp girl laying around. I was trying coloring using prisma coloring pencils, when I didn’t have copics. I think it my coloring turned out great, if I say so myself. So I colored her but didn’t put her on any card. So when I got the Fashionable Friends set, I pulled her out and here ya have it!! LOVE IT!!!

I just layered some pink and red glitter paper then embossed the pink top layer and scalloped the bottom of each layer. The Simply fabulous! sentiment went perfect with it!!

Oh my GOSH! I received this stamp set along with a few others and I was like, “OMGOSH! I LOVE THEM!” Seriously they are way too cool!

I had a few hours to myself to day and started to make a couple of cards for this stamp set.

Today is your day! card: I wanted something simple to show off this sentiment. I love it! I used some Sassafras flowers on an embossed SU soft suede cardstock and added a knot to the corner , sprinkled some tiny pearls and there ya have it! LOVE IT!!

Life is grand card: I used some Kaisercraft 6x6 up up and away cardstock and rub-on’s but a knot ribbon and finished it off with Life is grand sentiment and LOVE IT!!

Splashtastic Summer

Howdy!! I finally created 2 cards using Splashtastic Summer stamp set by K. Andrew Design from Getting Cricky. OMGosh.. do I love them!! they are soo cute!! ADORE!

The 1st card I created, I used some SU A2 baby blue card stock that came in my “grab bag” I got a few months ago, I am trying to use up all that stuff I got to make it worth it. The stripe layer, is from an old DCWV Glitter Mat Stack I’ve had in my paper hoarding stash. The background I created using some flip flop stamps of a small stamp set from MFT Hit the beach stamp set that I forgot I had. I used several Tim Holtz distressing inks to create my own background and then colored in a beach ball with SU markers. I also finally used my Irock. I really like the way it turned out. Then for the sentiment I used, Splahstastic Summer stamp sentiment “ DON’T FLIP OUT” LOL I love it.

Fernando & I been kind of grumpy at each other. Two teacher on vacation is kind of getting to us. UGH. I love him but goodness he needs to get away for a while! LOL

I really liked the way it turned out.. very Summery!

My 2nd card, I created a video on how I made it. I got my inspiration from VICKY P from LILY PAD Cards, I just love to watch her YOUTUBE videos of her technique she uses. YOu need to go see her videos.. omgosh awesome!! I started to watch her videos when she was under her old youtube channel which you can see here.

Hey folks..sorry I’m soo late!! Our AC broke last night and omgosh it was horrible!! Finally the man came out to fix it. Turns out it was a lizard that got fried in between the conductor that blew it out! Ya know there is a reason why I hate lizards.. this is one reason the other..well that’s a long story! lol..

Thankful Thursday Challenge @ Crazy about Cricut..

This is my 1st time entering in Crazy about Cricut Challenges.. Their challenge was to create a project for father’s day. Well I created this t-shirt for my brother in law. I used my Yudu for the 1st time.. Well, let me correct myself, I used Fernando’s Yudu for the 1st time. Guess what?? I did a better job then he did when he tried to screen a shirt! HAHAHA! Why do you say my came out better?? Because I actually listened to the directions on the Youtube videos! HA typical man, who never listens to directions!

Well, enough of me bragging! Here is my Father’s Day project. Sorry the picture is kind of fuzzy, took the photo with my back up 90’s cell phone! heeh not really it’s the early 2000’s. LOL .. It doesn’t even had android . I can only text! ugh tragic!

Ohh yeah I did use the cricut to create the template in vinyl! so I am sooo crazy about my cricut! heheehh

This week I have been showcasing Kristal's “FREEDOM ISN’T FREE” set and been creating lots of cards! If you would like to see, just scroll down to the earlier post.

For today, I created 2 more cards. This 1st card I used Versamark ink and stamped the sentiment all over the card to create a background image on to white cardstock. Then I heat embossed it using white embossing powered and then put the heat gun to it. Once all dried, I used Colorbox “warm Red” chalk ink and blended it onto the white cardstock using foam on the blending tool. I then used white twine to wrap all around and topped it off with a red button!

My 2nd card I created using a technique I have seen Vicky P from LILY PAD CARD do by using Distressing Ink to make background images, landscape scenes and flowers. I’m liking getting INKY! I tried to make it look like the sun was setting and ya know that pretty purply/orange sky you get? Well I tried to create that. I think it turned on pretty cool! THen of course I used the perfect sentiment from “FREEDOM ISN’T FREE” set.

Last day of Kristal’s New stamp release! Today I am showing off Kristal’s FOOD FOR THOUGHT! Which is something that Fernando has been bugging me. Suddenly he is like, “I remember when we first moved in together, you use to write love notes and put it in my lunch bag. What happened to those day’s? You did it for a good school year.” uhhhh sorry!

“Storefront Shelter is my signature charity in which homeless children are found, rescued, and reunited with their parents if possible. If not, they are found new homes and are given intervention so they do not return to the streets. There are youth and children living on the streets; it's been reported that parents will drop their child off downtown, to abandon them. The children have no idea where they are, and no idea how to return home. Children also flee from abusive environments, and live in the streets. Just thinking about if something happened to me, and my children were placed in an abusive children's home, and my children ran away..if they were living on the streets. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a young child on the streets, but I can imagine a way to help them, and this is my way.”

AHHHHHHHHHhhh Ok ok.. I’m soo late! Ya know how life just gets in the way! I actually created the card yesterday but I’m just posting now! Gosh.. thank goodness it wasn’t my week to do the DT post! hehehe

Ok so the Simply Sunday challenge over at GETTING CRICKY was a Banner and Pennant challenge.. Seriously this was very challenging. I have seen some amazing banners and pennants our DT has done and omgosh the entries are just amazing!! I’m so reluctant to show mine! Just keep in mind this is my first attempt at making anything with banners or pennants!! OK so here it is….

yikes..went to living room to get the camera to take picture then upload.. but then got side tracked and started to rearrange the furniture in the living room! LOL that took about 30 mins! Oy I tell ya! I’m soo ADD.

So finally here is my card:

The stamp set I used for the banner is from PINK PERSIMMONS: Banner (small). Its too cute comes with different banner stamps plus sayings to fit into the banner with two birds. Finally used it after a year? Hmm thank goodness I won this set! The paper is from Kaisercraft Lush collection 6x6 pad. Pearls are from Annabelle Stamps.

I also created this card using the Sketch from ANNABELLE Bling Sketch challenge #038.

Omgosh.. I’m so excited to try out for Kristal’s Design Team for her blog Getting Cricky with KAndrews! I recently found her blog a few months ago and that is the go to blog I go to on a daily basis. She is very inspirational both creatively and spiritually. Oh my has she made me cry! LOVE IT.

My 1st submission is this 12x12 layout I created following a sketch and a challenge I did for another blog.

The swirls & doiley were a cut from the Cricut Lite Cartridge: Lovely Floral which I am so in love with right now! the flowers are from Recollections as well as the bling in the middle of the big flower and black stickles on the other smaller flowers!

2nd Submission is an ALTERED blank CD! yes I know totally out of my comfort zone and its shabby chic! I’m usually a plain jane kinda girl but I’m loving doing this!

Flowers are from recollection which were glimmer misted! Pearls, ribbon, flowers ohhh my! My niece is gonna love hanging this on the door knob of her room!

My 3rd submission was a tough one..do I send you a card? or what I’ve been doing lately?? which are frames!! Sooo the FRAMES have it.. but which one??? This is the one I picked!

this was my 1st time using the crackle technique with elmers glue. I personally love the way this turned out. Of course my Nieces & Nephew makes the frame just stand out! They are soo georgous! Love my babies! Sorry had to throw that in. I’m so proud of them!

My Scraproom Challenge #2 THEME: SHABBY CHIC, had to use LACE, PEARLS & PAPER EDGE PUNCH. Shabby Chic is totally not my style. I love the style but I usually do simple stuff. I did like the way it turned out though. The paper is Graphic 45 my 1st sheet of Graphic 45 I bought about a year ago! LOL I think this is my only sheet and I have like a 2x4 inch piece left!

I hand wrote friendship saying in the tiny tags in the inside and put pearls to pull them out.

I SO love this layout I created for several challenges!! OMGosh love it!

1st the layout is for Gina from MYSCRAPROOM challenge #3 , we were to follow the following sketch:

with the colors of black, pink and white, flowers and bling. The cricut cuts (swirls and doiley) are from Lovely Floral.

I also, used this scrap lay out for MPS Challenge # 7 which was to create a layout.

Then I used this layout for Life on the Scrap beach challenge which was to use two 4x6 photos.

Then since I extremely love this layout of my FAMILY..I wanted to use this as part of KAndrew’s Design Team project from Getting Cricky. I just love her and her blog she is such an inspiration craftwise and spiritually.

Hope you love this layout as much as I do!

OMGosh!! I gave this card to my Grandma for Mother’s Day & I completely forgot to take a picture of it. So I had to have my mom take a picture of it and then send it back to me via her phone!

I sooo loved this card. This was my 1st time using the Maya road spolls and then the vintage sewing machine.. and then the pattern stamp from SU.. awwww.. well this is as good of a picture I can get for y’all Sorry folks..

This challenge was for MPS #4 to create a mother’s day project/card and also for KAndrews Getting Cricky to create something with a sewing theme!

Hope from Gypsy Wanders and I used a sheer ribbon & flower to create the breast cancer ribbon. I didn’t used pink for it but the pink is used throughout.

For Challenge #2: Make a card or scrapbook page using Kraft cardstock. I used 12x12 textured Kraft Cardstock from SU or as it now is called Crumb Cake.

PKS::Sketch Challenge 50 w/a Twist..

Wowo! I has been forever since I have done a PEACHY KEEN STAMPS CHALLENGE. For this challenge we had to follow this sketch but with A TWIST. The twist?? is to create a card based on the sketch below and use METALLIC accents. The metallic can be metallic paper, glitter, paint, etc.)

The twist in my card was to use Glimmer mist for a bit of glitter on the entire card and I put extra on the flower. In person oh wow its so glittery. Another metallic accent was the metal brad w/ pearl in the middle of the flower. Instead of a circle I used a flower..and instead of the flower I used a knot in the ribbon. Hope you you like.

Here is my take on it.. Instead of squares I used circles and turned it on its side. One of my personal challenges was to use my scrap paper cause I’ve bought soo much paper but then I have all this scrap.. I’ll end up throwing it away! so I dig in to my new papers! hahaha

BLUE & PURPLE! It has been 2 weeks since I’ve scrapped or done any cards. Yes 2 weeks! been soo busy with Maison’s softball then just life in general.

Also, during these 2 weeks.. I received my ANNABELLE STAMPS!! I ordered form their clearance section I CAN FLY and DIVA.. love them! I just used them today. I was trying out my Stampin Write markers which I got on the clearance rack. I’m trying to learn how to blend with them like copics I just had started to buy copics when the SU markers came out on clearance and believe me, I am not an expert in color blending eeek.. I stink at it. I am watching YOUTUBE VIDS on it. Oh boy what a challenge!!

Unity Stamps Challenge…

Ok.. this is another 1st for me. I am doing a challenge for Unity stamps. Their challenge was to create a “FASHION FORWARD” project. We can only use Unity Stamps or Ippity Stamps. My problem is that I only have two stamp sets at the moment and they are “something within” and “garden variety”. So how do I create a “FASHION Forward” project?

Eeeek.. this was hard and I do not know if it will meet the qualifications but I only used UNITY STAMPS stamp from the SOMETHING WITH stamp set. I also used Graphic 45 “Le Romantique” paper. I cut out the oval fashionista lady from the “newspaper ad” side of the paper.. then I used the reversed side to make it the base of my card. I used the frame stamp set and stamped it on to the add side. Then I used the “he as made everything Beautiful” stamp to stamp inside the fame. I then cut it out and used CRACKLE Accents to cover both the frame and the oval fashionista lady to give it an antique look to it.

Hope it meets the requirements.. if not it was fun to do this card.

So I look forward everyday to going to Ms. Kristal’s website , Getting Cricky with K Andrew Designs, to see what awesome thing she has up. Well, on Sunday’s she has her SIMPLE SUNDAY CHALLENGE! The challenge was to make any project with a Pack Your Bags/Travel theme.

For my card I chose the Camera from the solutions cartridge Summer Vacation & the “OH-Snap” is from Amusing Animals stamp set from SCRAPPY MOM’s. Background paper is from Basic Greys’, “wander” 6x6 paper pad.

I figure.. “OH-Snap” forgot to tell you what a wonderful time we had on vacation” or something of that nature!

LOL .. is this stretching it?

Scrappy Moms- Terrific Tuesday Challenge

This is my 1st time every doing a challenge for SCRAPPY MOM’s blog! I have a couple of her stamps which I ADORE!

For this challenge is a two-for - B is for Boy or Sugar & Spice, meaning we can use a cut from either of these cartridges or if you do not have these carts get a cut that is similar. So since I do not own these carts, I decided to use the rocket from Nifty Fifties, which is cut at 2.88. The background I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The stars are from MY FAVORITE Stamps, Icing on the cake stamp set. I thought the starts looked retro! The sentiment I printed myself since I do not have a boyish stamp set.

TACKY TUESDAY Challenge

This challenge was to use the cut from Birthday Bash, but since I do not have this I used the rabbit from Winter frolic or woodland? I deleted the cut on my gypsy so I can’t remember. I wanted to create a scene with it using the fence from Everyday paper doll. the tree is a Donna Salazar stamp, Partridge in a pear tree, which I colored in with color pencils. The clouds and sun are from My cute stamps “Cheer Up” set. The “HOPPY BIRTHDAY” is from MPS, Punnylicious.

I’m seriously not feeling it. But I didn’t want to trash it since iused ERINLEE Creative “my favorite things'” paper pad for the base of the card.

Ohh well.. I tried! My bunny looks MAD!! maybe it has rabies?? eeek!!
